Hello my Digi GIMP World

Has it REALLY been 4 years since I last posted here. Where has the time gone...
The truth is work and family have taken over and the blog with scrapping has had to take a backseat. Hubby and I have only this year managed a first over-seas holiday in 7 years, flew into Sydney from Wellington for an 11 day South Pacific cruise - also a first! Plenty of good times had and had to book our next for February 2015. According to the countdown only 172 days till embarkation day, just can't wait.

Looks like digiscrapping has also suffered a long absence of 3 years, but have opened GIMP of late and started a bit of digiscrapping by participating in weekly challenges at MouseScrappers and it feels I'm riding a wobbly bike, am a bit rusty but finding my feet slowly again. Have dabbled in a speedscrap and a few weekly challenges, sure is gratifying to upload the final results.

Hi Mo! I'm a fellow mousescrapper, and I only use GIMP, too! I am so happy to see you are back to scrapping; as I was directed to your blog when I first started using GIMP. THere are still a LOT of things I want to learn and I was wondering if you are planning on doing any tutorials. In particular, I really want to know how to make your text into a shape, so if you have a round piece of paper you want to journal on, you can make a text box that will form your journaling into a circle. Does that make sense? ANyway, hoping to "see" you around mousescrappers!

This is the first time I've visited in a while and was pleased to see you've made it back here :)

I, too, was learning GIMP and appreciated your tutorials. My new laptop had Elements loaded so I've now learned to use that but I still like a lot about GIMP.

Oh boy! So, you got the bug, huh? We had our first cruise in 2008 - Akl-Sydney and up the Sunshine Coast. Loved it. If we could have, we would've just got back on the ship and done it again. As it was, we took another 3 yrs later from Sydney to Noumea. Weather was too bad to get into Norfolk. It was a smaller ship and the weather was nasty. Did not enjoy that one.

Anyway, great to see you here again.
